157 Mile per Gallon Loremo Concept

Move over Toyota Prius, the German built Loremo LS blows you away in fuel efficiency. The ultra efficient car will debut at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show, featuring a 2 cylinder turbo diesel engine with 20-hp and a 160 km/h top speed.
The Loremo LS boasts an amazing fuel consumption of only 1.5 liters per 100km, which works out to around 157 MPG. To achieve such impressively low fuel consumption, Loremo AG cut out all unnecessary functions, and lowered the overall weight to a mere 450 kg (1000 lbs). While the vehicle will no doubt lack many bells and whistles, the company says that safety was a major focus, and despite the size it will still be able to accommodate four adults comfortably.
Loremo AG also has plans to offer a racier version of the fuel conscious coupe, dubbed the Loremo GS, it will have a stronger 50-hp engine and a top speed of 220 km/hr.
