Biodiesel from Bacteria
Wednesday, September 20th, 2006Jeff over at our sister blog, Biotech - Blogs.ca, has written an interesting article about researchers creating a strain of bacteria that is able to produce biodiesel from plant oils.
“Making biofuels from wastes that are already produced in conventional farming would actually free up land instead of consuming it and would not require toxic chemicals like current methods of production. With this approach, making biofuels a mainstream alternate energy actually becomes a reasonable goal.”
