Der Neuer Saturn VUE (ie. Opel Antara)

General Motors is certainly on a roll. After popping out all of those different special edition cars, GM is bringing out something completely new for everyday people - the Saturn VUE. America’s finally getting its Opels through Saturn, of which the VUE is certainly one; it’s the Antara, in fact. A quick rundown: the base-model XE and Green Line hybrid are powered by a 2.4-litre EcoTec I-4 that makes 164 hp and 160 lb-ft of torque. The XE with AWD has a 215-hp V6 engine. The top of the line model, the XR and the Red line get 250-hp 3.6-litre V6s engines; the V6s get six-speed autos.
Interior design looks similar to the current VUE but Europeanized, which isn’t too far off the mark. Oh, and this VUE just about puts the final few nails in the coffin of Saturn’s plastic-panel past.
