Cayenne Gets Updated for 2007

Porsche Cayenne 2008

Porsche has taken the wraps off of the facelifted version of its cash-cow, the Cayenne. Aside from the visual changes, which were highlighted by a lone photo of a trio of night-veiled Cayennes released two weeks ago, there are a few other important ones. Under the hood, the old 3.2-litre V6 engine was dropped for a slightly more powerful version of the new 3.6-litre direct-injection V6 found in the Touareg and Q7. It makes 290 horses, which is 10 more than what the others make. As for the S model, its V8 gets a nice gain of 300 cc to 4.8-litres, for 380 horsepower and 370 lb-ft of BMW X5 4.8i-smiting abilities.

Then there’s the Turbo, which now makes a ludicrous 500 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. The Turbo S stays the same.
