Buick Enclave

Say good-bye to the Rendezvous and meet its repalcement, the Enclave. GM turned its big reveal at Detroit into a production car. The exterior is typical crossover stuff, with an inkling of SUV to ward off those minivan connotations, while the interior’s design is actually quite nice and there’s room for six, or seven. Build quality doesn’t look too bad, and the wood and leather trim gets my thumbs up.

The Enclave’s engine is a 3.6-litre, 275-horsepower V6 engine that’s got VVT, figures that warrant those three VentiPorts. It hits the road through two or four wheels by a six-speed automatic. That’d be Buick’s first six-speed auto. All Enclaves get six airbags, ABS brakes and Stabilitrack to prevent any unwanted incidents where shiny side might not be up. Enclaves will hit showrooms sometime next spring.
