600-hp Cadillac CTS-v Headed Our Way
Monday, June 11th, 2007Looking at today’s horsepower race, it’s almost frightening to see what kind of firepower high-end automakers are putting under the hoods of their sedans. As it stands, the current king of horsepower is the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG, which shares its naturally aspirated 6.3-litre V8 with almost every other AMG product out there, including the S, CL, CLS, CLK and ML-Class. It’s quite the engine too, revving to 7,200 rpm and producing 514 horsepower. Reportedly, this engine is going to surface in the next-generation C-Class, which should wipe the smiles off the faces of BMW and Audi for their M3 and RS4 respectively.
